Holiday Regions in Salzburg

Hochkönig

Experience the exhilaration! Exhilarated describes how you will spend your holiday in the Hochkönig region, which includes the holiday villages of Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach, all just a stone's throw from Ski amadé. Leave your worries behind and discover the joys of life. Tradition, a love of the land, and true hospitality are not just extremely important, they are lived by all each day. Rediscover the source of all being at the summit of senses. Visiting this region, which lies at the foot of the impressive Hochkönig massif, means you will embark on a journey that will lead you to your innermost being. All around the three idyllic villages you will find breath-taking nature that is like nothing you have seen before.

Whether skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing in the winter, hiking, cycling, rock climbing or mountaineering in the summer, or while on family holiday, you will find exactly what you are looking for in the Hochkönig region. Between the peaks of the Hochkönig massif, in the idyllic Alpine pastures, and at cosy mountain huts, freedom, adventure, joy and happiness abound.

In the spring, the sound of chirping larks will bring back memories of carefree childhood days. In the summer, the fragrance of the blossoming Alpine pastures will entice you to enjoy an afternoon hike. In the autumn, the crunching sound of leaves beneath your feet and the colours of the mountains will transport you to a magical world. And in the winter, the gently falling snow will create a winter wonderland for you to enjoy. The ski villages of Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach invite you to experience Ski amadé, Austria's largest ski paradise. 760 kilometres of skiing fun, 356 well-groomed pistes, and 270 modern lifts all with one ski pass. The famous Königstour ski circuit offers 32 continuous kilometres of ski pistes with a difference in altitude of 6,700 metres, making it one of the most beautiful ski circuits in the Alps.
